Blogging, Day....oh, I already lost track

Well, I'm back. I just received some more Sandi Henderson fabric and made a matching bib and burp cloth set and a new key chain. I'm so excited about this fabric! It's even more gorgeous in person. Now if I could just clone myself and make more! I'll include a little snapshot of the fob, but haven't had time yet to shoot the set.

I'm excited about a meeting I had last week with a local boutique regarding selling my items through them. I'm a little nervous about the whole process because I've never encountered this in my book business, but it's very exciting! I can't wait to hear back from them and I hope we strike up a deal and do lots of business together. Their shop is just adorable and I admire them for doing what I have started doing, succeeding at it ... and then taking it to the next level. Good for them. I always enjoy it when the 'small fries' do well.

There's never much time during naps, so I'd better go and be productive. A happy husband equals relaxed crafting!

Blogging, Day 2

Okay, so I'm terrible at blogging. You'll get used to it. :) I have absolutely zero spare time. So what makes me think I have time to be crafty?? It's what keeps my husband alive. It's what keeps me sane. It's my way to get out of this house without going anywhere. And right now, with a tweener, a toddler, and an itty bitty, going anwhere is kind of out of the question.

So, I make stuff. Each new thing I learn how to make amazes me. I look at it and think, "Man, did I really just make that? That's so cool that I can do that!". In more of a disbelief kind of way, not in a bragging manner. I find it very interesting that I have this until now, untapped creative side to myself. Who knew? I always knew I had a knack for photography. I started that young, and had 'the eye'. But that requires time to go on adventures......no time for that right now....maybe again soon. Until then my trusty Pentax K1000 awaits. (Yeah, I still like my old-school camera from back in the day!)

Alright, since it's officially midnight I should go nite-nite. Hopefully I'll be able to get the hang of this blog thing.

Welcome to my blog! I intend to use this as a means to keep up to date on what's new here in my studio. A view into my fabric stash, and to let you know what I'm up to next. This is where I'll post pictures of the fabrics I have available, and some shots of new items I've made. Bear with me, because as my husband just reminded me....my time is limited. So my postings may be a bit spaced out, but I will do my best to give this a go!
